Introduction to Beekeeping

Harvest schedule will be posted soon. You can expect vegetables around March.
We do regular open houses through the season. You are welcome to stop by any of the posted dates and tour our micro farm as we discuss what are we doing and how you can do the same. Currently, open houses are suspended until Spring
We offer a 1 day Introduction to beekeeping, perfect for the curious or the person that wants to investigate what beekeeping is all about; an Introduction to Beekeeping training in February, a Practical Beekeeping Course in April and a season long hands on Advanced Beekeeping, for those that would like to have some real experience before considering investing in hives, equipment, and bees. We also offer an special Adult/Child event were parents and kids learn together about the bees and on-site group presentations (limited in size) for homeschoolers, clubs, etc. If you are interested in learning about anything that we do, please contact us to discuss.
We are frequently invited to speak to Elementary Schools, Boy and Cub scouts groups and other organizations. If you would like us to discuss with your group topics like beekeeping, gardening, homesteading and more, just get in contact with us
There is opportunity for learning by doing with us, we look for hard working high school kids that would like to help out with harvest and processing produce, honey and meat chickens.
